Christo Angelov received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Sofia, Sofia, Bulgaria. He has spent the greater part of his professional career as a lecturer in that university where he held the positions of assistant professor and associate professor of Computer Control Systems in the Department of Systems and Control, and head of the Advanced Control Systems Laboratory, Faculty of Automatics. In November 2001 he joined the Mads Clausen Institute for Product Innovation, University of Southern Denmark, as professor of Software Engineering.
Over the years, Christo Angelov has been involved in teaching, research and development activities in the area of computer control systems, with a focus on systems architecture, operational and application software for industrial computer systems. He has also managed a number of projects resulting in the development of real-time kernels and software for industrial applications. He is co-authored two books and more than ninety papers and patents in the above areas.
He has been recently interested in component-based design of software for embedded applications, distributed embedded systems, distributed real-time operating systems and advanced network architecture for hard real-time applications.
